When you break up with the girl of your dreams, your life really feels like a nightmare. The pain and confusion, feeling out of control and all alone can make you feel as if you're stuck in a bad dream that you may never wake up from, but there is hope. If you implement these tips when you desperately want to get back the woman you love, you will remember that you still are in control of your dreams and will make them a reality.

1. You were not in a relationship with yourself. You must wake up and face the reality that even if your ex caused or asked for the breakup, you were a factor. Look at what you may have done to make them think they could live without you in their life and work toward fixing it.

2. Give them their demands. If you've ever watched a movie where someone holds people hostage to get what they want, their demands have to be met to save lives and if they aren't, the criminal may resort to violence to get what the or she wants, which usually isn't really worth all the trouble in the first place. This represents your delicate situation and if improperly handled, you could hurt your chance to get back the woman you love. If your ex wants space or to see other people, let them. If you become emotional or clingy, they will do something drastic to get what they want. Often what your ex really wants is not what they say they want in the heat of an argument. Have the confidence that you can give her all the time and space she needs to remind her just how much she needs you in her life.

3. Spend at least three weeks alone or unavailable. Your ex may contact you just to boost her ego, so don't be so eager to get back together that you settle for being someone's host. Ever notice how when someone is hosting a party, they run themselves ragged to make sure everyone one else has an enjoyable time yet the host gets nothing out of it. Don't give in. Make her realize what she misses in you, make her regret ever letting you go, make your ex wonder who the lucky person is who will get to have you all to themselves. When she can't stand it any longer, just pick up that ringing phone and casually say, "hi."
